"Watch Out For The Big Girls..."
So from the frying pan we go into the fire. If you’ve spent any time in parties or listen to a lot of music I’m sure you can finish the phrase I have mentioned in my title. Just in case you’re still puzzled, the phrase goes – Watch out for the big girls! It comes on in a party, you get out the way of the big girls, and they go ahead and do their thing. It’s a fun song that I always happen to enjoy when it comes on simply because people hype it up. Well today, my inaugural post I say we cannot forget the “big girls.” Society still isn’t hot on the idea of “full figured women” but truth is they’re human and they deserve some light.
If you’re still a bit confused let’s not beat around the bush, some people say big and some people say fat. Whatever be the case there is somebody for everybody. For any fat or big people out there, I would go out on a limb and say there may be two types of you all. You have the type that loves their size and then there are those who don’t love their size. For the women that love their size they’re no burden on anyone, a strong sense of self worth means that you’ll be fulfilled in your personal life. When you love you who can really fuck with you? No one is the answer, and anyone who is comfortable in their skin elicits people wanting to be around them, guaranteed.
On the other hand there are those women who are big for one reason or another. We can get into emotional eating, love of food, lack of wanting to be healthy or all of the above. We can go on and on. These women are extremely self conscious and many times don’t get the attention from men that they really desire. Now something very profound takes place here; you now have the woman that is willing to work towards the woman she wants to be versus the woman who refuses to do so. Everyone needs some loving, I dig it, we can ride that phrase into the ground but there are some out there who are not willing to get fit or healthy in order to get what they want.
Plainly put, you want something you have to do what you have to do to get it. There will be absolutely no pity for someone who gripes and bellyaches but takes no action. DO NOT think you have to change for anyone as well, because in time it will be evident what your motives were. You have to do things for yourself. If you’re the chick that wants to change your lifestyle and lose weight and what not make sure it’s for you and not for adulation. Truth is many people would think it’s great that you’re being proactive but they might also think “duh you should’ve been exercising the whole time.” In order for you to not be affected by this you would have to have no other motive but to do these types of things for you.
For the big girls comfortable in their own skin and proud, more power to you, Like I said you should have no problems at all in any category (except health down the line maybe) but we wish none of that on anyone but you must always remain cognizant. Big girls who love themselves no matter what size they were enjoy themselves and love life; they’re the ones with all that pride shaking their ass to “Watch Out for The Big Girls”- as well she should.
If it hasn’t registered as yet, this article is more than about size but more so about how you feel about you. You have got to love you. You will always have a problem with another person if you do not love you. Lose a trillion pounds, but if you’re still insecure on the inside, or if you have personality traits that don’t click well with people then you’ll be running into the same problems you’ve been experiencing. Work on your inside before your out if need be. Your self esteem means more than anything, it’s your longevity, it’s your integrity it’s damn near everything, so keep it in tact, nurture it and grow.
These are my words and I make no apologies; be good.
