There's a difference between a woman and a bitch. I am just a woman who likes to "bitch" from time to time.
"Finding Yourself"
Do we ever truly find ourselves? What does it mean to find ourself? Or are we constantly recreating ourselves? This is more so of a rambling article but since I landed in London, I've been on a journey, physically and mentally. I've never actually been on my own and I never thought that this experience would be as crucial to me as it is. But I've learned so much about myself, things that I would never learn if I was still at home, physically living with a support system. Living here has made me question my purpose here on this earth. It has also made me question my self. I've asked my self numerous times, "Who am I?", expecting myself to answer. But I haven't yet. So since I have been here I have been asking myself, "Do we really find ourself or do we create ourself?.
"Platonic Friendships"
Can truly platonic friendships exist? Can a male and female just be friends with no type of sexual or emotional feelings toward each other? Can they be friends without any past history? Or can they even be real friends after past history? I feel like this is a topic that can be interpreted and taken many different ways. So let’s start the convo...
Dumb It Down
You need to write a paper? Wikipedia. You need to write a paper in a different language? Google translate. You don't know how to spell? Auto text. You don't know how to write? Whatevs, you just need to know how to type. You can't park? Your car will do it for you. And the list of what technology can do for you can go on and on. I asked my younger sister a couple of months ago about her summer reading. It went a little something like this...
Les Montures: Lunetier Vintage
In Montreal, Canada lies a hidden gem. Well not so much hidden but it feels like you've discovered a hidden gem when you stumble upon it....
Interview Chic
The one gruesome, absolutely dreadful thing that I get extremely anxious doing in life is looking for an appropriate interview outfit. C'mon, I know I am not alone. Whether you are applying for a job or internship in any field ranging from fashion (like moi) to biology, it is common that everyone is a bit antsy when it comes to picking out the right clothes. Sure, not everyone cares much about fashion or yadda yadda ya. But when it comes to interview attire, its way more than just the clothes. Its your first freaking impression, which speaks volumes to your future employer before you even get to open your exaggerating mouth.
"Get Your Ice Cream Fix, Even If Summer Is On Its Way Out"
Ok seriously, there is nothing like really good non-freezer burnt ice cream on any day, hot or cold. No? Baskin Robbins? Yeah, we off that. Coldstones? Eh, we still on that. Good ol' Ice Cream trucks? Don't even get me started on how they believe it is right to charge me $2.00 for a Strawberry Shortcake. No, please don't get me started. BUT, let's do talk about really cool ice cream spots that are in every way right to charge anything they want for their goodies. Do you have a sick Nutella obsession like me? Or are you just like me in that you can't eat peanuts so you substitute with the creamy, yummy, Hazelnut spread? Hmm? No? Well whatever.
